Do I need to register to attend the virtual job fair?

Yes. Click on the Students/Alumni Registration link to fill out a registration form. We strongly recommend you also include your current resume. Employers can view your resume before, during and after the event and may schedule time with you directly to discuss your qualifications.

How do I prepare for the fair?

Take some time to review the resource Prep for the VCF Guide and attend any pre-event preparation sessions offered by the Career Services team. Connecting with your Career Services Advisor to ensure that you have a professional, targeted resume before the fair is critical. How do I upload/change my resume?

To make changes to your resume, log into the platform and click on your profile located in the top-right area of the page. Delete the existing resume and upload the new version. This needs to be done prior to the start of the event. If you have any issues, contact vFairs Technical & Customer Service Help at devryuniversity@getvfairs.io

Do I need to download or install any software to be able to attend the fair?

No. You only need to have internet access. We recommend using Chrome or Firefox as your browser for the best experience. You can also download the app, “vFairs”, and experience the virtual career fair from your phone. (Keep in mind for the best experience, we recommend using a laptop/desktop computer)

Is a webcam required?

No, however, we highly recommend attendees are prepared for a potential virtual connection with a recruiter. Speaking with a recruiter through a video connection is a great way to have an “in-person” discussion about your skills, interests, and qualifications.

What will I do after I login on the day of the fair?

After logging into the live fair, you will enter a Virtual Lobby. From the Virtual Lobby, you can click on any hyperlink or tab from the navigation bar to discover what the fair has to offer. Additionally, you can click on Exhibit Hall to explore all the employer booths and connect with Career Services. Within the employer booths you can learn about the organization, apply to jobs and chat with recruiters.

How do I apply for jobs?

From the lobby, you can click on the “jobs” tab at the top to view some of the open positions from each employer. Clicking the “apply” button will take you to the employer website page to submit your resume.
Or from the employer booth, you can click on the “job vacancies” tab to view some of the open positions. Clicking on “view details” will provide more details and an “apply for this job” button to take you to the company career page.
Use the “career” link in the booth to visit the employer page and see all open positions.
Remember, not all jobs will be or can be posted to the booth during the event. It’s critical to explore the employer career page for all open positions.
